TRAM | Inverted Ballad | Piano

Gosh when the supergroup TRAM was first announced I absolutely DEVOURED that EP, plus watching the footage from the 1 show at SXSW dozens of times. Great foray into a fusion project for AAL folks, hope once the 5th LP is finally out for the main Animals as Leaders band the members continue branching out. 

Okay, so I didn't transcribe the whole thing for Inverted Ballad, once it opens up for the saxophone solo and the structure gets a little more amorphous I pause - really the contrapuntal nature of the opening lines was what drew me in, and it translates quite well to piano (if a little awkwardly spaced at times). Get those wrists leading the way up and down the keys and happy practicing.
