Ginji | Between Nothing | Piano

In a sea of uninspiring lofi hip hop, Nathan Gass's Ginji project is a wonderful blend of creative and unique sample choices, jazz & mathrock guitar layers, and of course the ubiquitous dilla-esque rhythms, vinyl crackles, and warm saturations. I was lucky to record piano & Rhodes for a few songs on the debut LP, with more contributions for the follow up album releasing in 2021.

The title track from the Between Nothing album is a perfect example of the blend of sounds present in the project, and probably is my personal favorite. Still need to go back and do some videos for the Rhodes parts on a couple others of the tracks, there's some neat parts buried in the songs...
